Award-Winning Paper Provides Framework for FarmSense’ Comprehensive Insect Database; Hosting the Most Digitized Insect Information in the World
RIVERSIDE, Calif., December 4, 2023 – Today, FarmSense announces that co-founder and professor at University of California, Riverside, Dr. Eamonn Keogh and colleagues have won the IEEE 2023 10-Year Highest-Impact Paper award. The award is for “Dynamic Time Warping Averaging of Time Series allows Faster and more Accurate Classification” which Dr. Keogh wrote with his student Yanping Chen and collaborators from Australia and France. As the image from the below shows, Dr. Keogh demonstrates his ideas with insect classification. This is the second 10-year highest-impact paper award that Dr. Keogh’s lab has won in recent years, with a 10-year highest-impact paper award at ACM SIGKDD in 2022.
In addition to this prestigious award, Dr. Keogh and his students have also won the IEEE ICDM 2023 Best Paper Runner-Up award.
